In October 2019, ANCER SPA obtained planning permission from Flintshire County Council for a 14,500m2 extension to Smurfit Kappa’s cardboard manufacturing facility at Mold in Flintshire. The application required a comprehensive community consultation exercise including a public exhibition of the proposals. An application was made for a Diversion Order for a public right of way that crosses the site.
Stallingborough Road, Immingham
In May 2019 ANCER SPA on behalf of the Brocklesby Estate obtained outline planning permision from North East Lincolnshire Council for up to 525 dwelligs an an 80 unit extra care facility for the eldery at Highfield Farm in Stallingborough Road, Immingham.
i54 Western Extension (South)
In March 2019 outline planning permission was obtained on behalf of the City of Wolverhampton Council and Staffordshire County Council for a 29 hectare extension to the successful i54 strategic employment site. The permission allows up to 100,000m2 of B2 and B2 employment development and is aimed at major occupiers. We have successfully discharged a number of pre-commencement planning conditions and site preparation works are underway.
On behalf of Crag Hill Estates Ltd and Praxis Real Estate Management, in March 2018 ANCER SPA obtained reserved matters approval to first phase site enabling works at the Airfields strategic site at Deeside. The works comprise provision of a site access road, drainage and the creation of development platforms for residential and commercial development on 33 hectares of this 100 hectare site. A reserved matters application for a second phase of site enabling works was submitted by ANCER SPA in July 2019.
Scartho Top Strategic Housing Site
On behalf of the Brocklesby Estate and Cyden Homes Ltd, in November 2017 ANCER SPA obtained reserved matters approval from North East Lincolnshire Council for 845 houses at Scartho Top, Grimsby. This followed the successful securing of the Council’s approval to variations in the outline planning permission and an amended phasing plan for this major development.
Another Development at the i54 Business Park
In May 2019 reserved matters approval was obtained for a 6,500m2 industrial building for Morris Property. This was the latest in a number of developments on the i54 strategic employment site where ANCER SPA has been involved for over ten years in obtaining outline and planning permission, detailed planning permissions and reserved matters submissions. This has included Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre. We are currently working as part of a project team on formulation of an outline planning application for a 25ha extension to the i54 site.
Outline Planning Permission For Telford Strategic Employment Site
Outline planning permission was granted in march 2016 by Telford & Wrekin Council for 60,000m2 of mixed employment development on a 16ha site near junction 4 of the M54 motorway. ANCER SPA, working with Amec Foster Wheeler’s technical project team, submitted the planning application on behalf of the site owner, the Homes & Communities Agency.
Outline Planning Permission for Whitebirk Strategic Employment Area
Outline planning permission was granted in August 2015 for up to 95,000m2 of mixed employment development on a 35ha site on the edge of Blackburn, near to Junction 6 of the M65. We coordinated a multi-disciplinary project team in the preparation of scheme drawings, supporting documents and an Environmental Statement.
In September 2014 Poundland occupied their new 35,000m2 regional distribution centre in Harlow. We obtained planning permission for this scheme on behalf of the joint venture developers Lynton Developments and Maclaren Construction. Following the grant of planning permission we were engaged in an intensive period of discharge of pre-commencement and pre-occupation planning conditions which were all successfully resolved prior to occupation.
Spitalgate Heath, Grantham
In August 2014 we submitted an outline planning application to South Kesteven District Council for the Spitalgate Heath Sustainable Urban Extension at South Grantham. The application for 225ha of land was for 3,700 dwellings 110,000m2 of employment space, a local centre and green infrastructure. This major scheme was EIA development and so the application included a full Environmental Statement.
