PROJECT MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT

We are experienced in procuring and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams developing proposals for not only major site development projects, but also area regeneration schemes. This has typically included site research, development feasibility including viability appraisals and community consultation.

Project examples below...

Chatterley Valley, North Staffordshire

On behalf of a consortium of public and private sector landowners we led a team formulating a Masterplan and an outline planning application for a mixed employment development on a 100ha brownfield site on the edge of Stoke. This required an EIA and complex multi-phase Section 106 Agreement. The grant of planning permission was followed by the implementation of various site preparation and infrastructure schemes leading to the construction of schemes such as North Staffordshire Enterprise Centre and the Blue Planet warehousing scheme occupied by JCB.

Spitalgate Heath, Grantham

On behalf of the Buckminster Trust Estate we coordinated the submission of an outline planning permission for a sustainable urban extension on 500 acres/ 200 ha of land at Spitalgate Heath, South Grantham comprising up to 3,700 dwellings, 30ha of employment land and a local centre. This involved leading a multi-disciplinary team in formulating a Masterplan, a parameters plan and a green infrastructure plan for this major development which required an EIA. Viability assessment was required leading to negotiation of a Section 106 Agreement including development tariff calculations based on a phasing programme.

Birmingham Regeneration Corridor Frameworks

We put together multi-disciplinary teams that were successful in being appointed by Birmingham City Council to prepare Area Regeneration Frameworks for two important corridors, the A34 through Sparkbrook/Sparkhill and the A47 through Small Heath/Washwood Heath. This involved leading the team through complex community consultation exercises in these areas with high percentages of residents from ethnic minorities. Priority projects were identified and the subject of feasibility and viability testing.

Thrapston Community Plan

In 2013 we were commissioned by East Northamptonshire Council to produce a community plan for Thrapston to deal with the implications of the planned 25% growth of the town in a10 year period. This involved leading a team in working with the local community to identify preferred projects, test them and then produce a costed phased implementationn programme.
